The collection/replacement of unsorted waste bins is the responsibility of the local council. You should contact your local council to report this situation.

Requests to change the location of recycling points can be sent to the Recycling Line at atendimento@linhadareciclagem.pt. If the recycling point is located in an EGF area, we will review your request together with technicians from your local council. If the recycling point is located in an area not covered by EGF, we will forward your request to the appropriate entity.

Do we separate the packaging and then the lorry mixes everything together?
There are selective collection vehicles that allow paper/cardboard and plastic/metal to be collected simultaneously without mixing. These are called dual-compartment vehicles, giving the illusion that the materials will be mixed. After collection, they are deposited in different areas and sent for recycling.
